Allianz Global Investors wins 350 million Euro Nykredit mandate

The US Equity Strategy of RCM* has been awarded a 350 million Euro mandate by Nykredit, a financial services group based in Denmark. The mandate was won by Seung Minn, Senior Portfolio Manager and Chief Investment Officer of the Disciplined Equities Group at RCM and his team, after a competitive tendering process with 86 other companies.

The strategy was launched to both retail and institutional investors in June 2010 at the US embassy in Copenhagen. Key factors involved in choosing the managers included the impressive long term track record held by the team, the structured and disciplined investment process and RCM´s unique research platform, GrassrootsSM.

Claus Bilde, Vice President at Nykredit, said: “We believe that RCM´s flagship US Equity Strategy, managed by Seung Minn will continue to deliver consistent, above average returns going forward, based on the outstanding long term track record and a highly disciplined and proven investment process”.

Udo Frank, Chief Executive Officer of RCM, added: “We expect to grow assets and business for Nykredit in Denmark, working closely to support them with our flagship US Equity Strategy going forward. Within what remains an uncertain economic environment in the US, we continue to concentrate on delivering returns for our clients across all market conditions based on our proven investment process, and this what we aim to do for Nykredit.”

Nykredit is one of Denmark’s leading financial services groups with activities ranging from mortgage lending and banking to insurance and pensions.
